Johnny Fontane's: Burgers and fries

On Friday evening we were invited along to a trial night of a new american diner in Leeds. Of course I obliged, I would never say no to any form of food let alone a good burger and fries.

Firstly, I would like to say I will definitely be returning regularly to get my fix of the cajun fries, which were absolutely delicious.

Johnny Fontane's is a real american diner, and has a brilliant vibe. They've really thought about the quirky american decor and I have to say they've really thought about the quality of their food as well. Like most people, I've eaten my fair share of burgers over the years, and this most definitely has to sit at the top of my list. You can spot a good burger a mile away, but you can most definitely tell that these burgers are fresh, and at £9.99 for a burger, side and drink it's pretty reasonable.

I opted for the cheeseburger and cajun fries (which I will tell you for the second time, you have to try!) and decided to go for the all american experience and grab myself a chocolate shake, which was clearly homemade as well.

All in all we had a lovely time and the food was fantastic. The only thing I have to say is that the service could still do with a little bit of primping and preening.

I will definitely be returning, and I assure you, if you want to eat the best burger in Leeds, get your backsides down to Johnny Fontane's when it opens, you will not be disappointed!
